You and Dougald did a fabulous job, and deserve the praise for showing off the spirit of Winnipeggers.

Well done, and a the biggest thumbs-up from this guy. :o)Teebzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00538474727022437837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906875144542272320.post-39615280966514644332007-12-27T16:58:00.000-06:002007-12-27T16:58:00.000-06:00Nice blog. We shot and produced this ourselves and sold it to the CBC for a pittance after we sent it to a producer at Hockey Night, unsolicited. We paid off the Weakerthans and Sloan for one-time broadcast music rights and still had enough for a new pair of garbage mits.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906875144542272320.post-82133778762593569002007-12-23T17:36:00.000-06:002007-12-23T17:36:00.000-06:00I don't see how anyone can hate winter when it's s...I don't see how anyone can hate winter when it's so much fun!Kirstenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08031186865983731569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906875144542272320.post-6952290513708816332007-12-22T19:29:00.000-06:002007-12-22T19:29:00.000-06:00Hey, Art! The largest league just closed up shop because management retired, but they had upwards of 400 teams playing out of their league. There are three leagues now that occupy the landscape, so it's still going strong.Teebzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00538474727022437837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906875144542272320.post-32228204603309687702007-12-22T19:16:00.000-06:002007-12-22T19:16:00.000-06:00We used to play with these kinds of pucks growing ...We used to play with these kinds of pucks growing up in Central Alberta (Red Deer and Rocky Mtn. House to be exact). This would have been early to late 80s.

Of course, we didn't form leagues or rules centered around the use of said puck. We used normal every day hockey rules, and the use of skates was determined by how many people had a pair when we gathered to play.Edwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00793770146857450945noreply@blogger.com
