The prevailing rumour is that there are up to 18 NHL teams considering adding an alternate jersey for the 2008-09 season. While no one has officially shown off any of their jerseys ideas, Philadelphia has already confirmed that they will be going back to an orange alternate jersey.
However, the Bruins have now shown off one of their finalists in the selection of their alternate jerseys. Let's take a look at the video evidence:
Possible Bruins alternate jersey for 2008-09.
What do you think? They've basically just exchanged the patch from the shoulder to the chest, and vice versa. There's also a little less colour. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Let me know in the comment section. Personally, it isn't bad, but I'm not overly fond of the lack of colour.
Anyway, the jersey watch starts again this summer. Be prepared!
Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
I really hope the Wild bring the green sweaters back, because they are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kirsten. I liked the green better than the red jerseys.
ReplyDeleteWow. The Bruins weathered the Great Jersey Massacre of '07 and emerged unscathed. It makes sense that they should be punished with a third jersey like that. You know, for parity.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine that the Caps will have a blue jersey that features the (current secondary) W-Capitol dome-eagle logo as the primary.
