I'm always impressed with the creativity shown by hockey fans. Whether they're coming up with hilarious signs to catch a player's attention or dressing up in green spandex, hockey fans are a creative bunch. Today sees a fine example of that creativity as the gentlemen from HockeyGods.com have sent me a music video that I'd like to share with you. Honestly, it's one of the greatest things I've seen in a while, and I'm not a big fan of the music chosen for this parody. I'll post their newest video first, and then we'll take a look at some of the other hilarious content that they have on their site. It's a beauty!
Now, I'm no Enrique Iglesias fan, and I've never even heard of his "I Like It" song until I read the information about the parody. Quite frankly, I'm not sure the original is even worth listening to after hearing this awesome tune. Have a listen to the Hockey God's "Highly Unlikely":
Lead singer Sean Plumridge does a pretty good job in the video coming off as smarmy as Enrique Iglesias seems to be. The parody itself is really, really good, and I like the direction these videos are going.
With that being said, here's another from the Hockey Gods as they parody Eminem's and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie". This one is all about the Maple Leafs, and I'm thinking these guys have themselves quite a future in hockey music comedy. Here is the Hockey Gods' "Love To Hear The Boos":
Some more great music comes our way courtesy of Rochelle Van'Buren and Sean Plumridge. This is another excellent effort in the creativity department, and the performances are very good. Well done, Hockey Gods!
This team of hockey-loving guys and gals has a number of excellent videos posted on YouTube, so I suggest checking out the WorldwideHockeyGods channel found on YouTube. And don't forget to hit up the Hockey Gods website - also linked under the Hockey Blogs drop-down list on the right!
Until next time, keep your sticks - and the comedy - on the ice!
I am so glad I stumbled upon this post. I especially liked the second video you posted. The couple reminded me of a few yeas ago when I dated a penguin fan and as a hardcore flyers fan it was annoying. I couldn't help but laugh about the canandien/leafs conflict.
