The Scoring Page

If you're entered into the HBIC Playoff Pool, this page will probably become your "go-to" page for the next couple of months. This page is the HBIC Playoff Pool scoring page, and it lists all of the participants in the HBIC Playoff Pool. It shows everyone who has entered and their point totals, so if you don't see yourself on the top-five scorers to the right, you'll probably want to hit the link to see how far you're off from being on the leaderboard. We'll get to the names in a second, but there's a little housekeeping to do first.

The names you see are listed by FIRST NAME AND LAST INITIAL. I fully believe in keeping people's names private so that you're not being stalked online by someone who trails you in the pool. Also, I think that it's nobody's business who is whom in the pool, so we'll keep this fairly private by only publishing first names and the first letter of your last name. For people who have that same first name and first letter of the last name, I'll try to make it clear who is whom, but we'll cross that bridge if necessary.

Your tie-breaker team is listed in brackets after your name. If you see (NONE), you never sent in a tie-breaker on your spreadsheet. Contact me at the playoff pool email to get this updated immediately. If you haven't selected a team by the time the first round is over, you're stuck with no tie-breaker team. And no exceptions will be made.

Lastly, I will only update the point totals AFTER A TEAM HAS BEEN ELIMINATED. Please do not contact me to tell me you had the winner in Game One of the Western Conference Semi-Final. Believe me when I say that I'll get to it. I'm a busy guy 99% of the time, and I simply can't commit the time to micro-manage the playoff pool all the time. When a series finishes, though, I'll update all the scores.

If you've been searching through this blog, there are some people who you may want to keep an eye on in this pool. Dan F. was last year's winner with 86 points. Justin S. has also finished strong in a number of pools and has won it. James H. is also a past winner. That means we have three people in the pool this year that have finished atop the mountain, and they know what it takes to get there. Could HBIC see a participant win the pool twice this year? We have three shots at that happening.

But everyone else has a shot as well. Keep your eyes on the point totals. You may be back ten points after one series, but up ten after another. Things change that fast in the HBIC Playoff Pool! Make sure you're checking in for updates as the series end and teams move on!
