The Hockey Show, airing tonight at 6:00PM CT on 101.5 UMFM, we finally get to talk about something in the NHL that doesn't involve the letters C-B-A. We have a full course of information to serve you, including topics like why Brian Burke may have been fired, who are our favorites to win the Stanley Cup, why the Oilers have a shot at making the playoffs, where are the Jets going to finish, and, of course, the apologies from everyone involved to the fans.
In some rather startling news, FOHBIC (friend of HBIC) and SPHL goaltender Steve Christie was waived by the Pensacola Ice Flyers on New Year's Eve! Steve had seen less ice time recently as goaltending partner Ross MacKinnon began carrying the load for the Ice Flyers. Steve's record at the time of his release was 8-4-2 with a respectable 2.73 GAA, a .899 save percentage, and one shutout. I'll be following up with Steve to find out what his plans are, but he has yet to sign with any other teams in the SPHL at this time.
Tune in tonight through your radio at 101.5 UMFM in the Winnipeg region, or listen live through the Internet at the UMFM site! As always, we'll be taking your phone calls for questions and comments, so hit us up at (204) 269-8636. We'll also be looking for some quality tweets, so buzz me at @TeebzHBIC with your thoughts, comments, and questions as well!
Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
