The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is going to do something a little different tonight. We're still going to be on the air at 5:30pm CT as always, but we're pre-recording this show. GASP! I know that seems a little strange for a weekly hockey talk show, but there are a few things that have come up that Beans and I have to attend to and require our presence between the times of 5:30 and 6:30 on a Thursday evening in May. Therefore, we're pre-recording tonight before coming back with a couple of phenomenal shows in the coming weeks. Deal? Deal.
It's been a heck of a roller coaster ride in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs as we've seen more ups and downs and highs and lows through the first two rounds. Beans and I will look at Round Two and see if we can predict Round Three's results on tonight's show. We'll also chat about the Moose and their new divisional rivals, the Brandon Wheat Kings and their run in the WHL Playoffs that ended last night, the RBC Cup happening in Portage la Prairie right now, and anything else we can fit into the hour of hockey chatter. There will probably be tangents that we'll follow off these main themes, so we'll tackle those as we hit them.
As stated above, we're pre-recording this episode, so the phones will be closed tonight. You can listen in on 101.5 UMFM on your radio dial in the Winnipeg region or you can listen live between 5:30pm and 6:30pm CT on your web-enabled device at the UMFM webpage! You can tweet me anytime you like by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter. You can also post some stuff to Facebook if you use the "Like" feature, and I always have crazy stuff posted there that doesn't make it to the blog or show.
Next week, we have a special guest coming on the show, and we'll have guests in-studio in two weeks. You'll want to listen in to tonight's show to hear who is scheduled to appear in the next couple of weeks because we're thoroughly excited to welcome these guests to The Hockey Show!
