The Hockey Show - Episode 276

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, is back tonight as both Beans and Teebz will be back in the big chairs talking hockey for the first show of 2018! What hockey will they be discussing, you ask? Well, we have a couple of World Junior Championship semifinal games to examine. There's a little women's tournament being held in Füssen, Germany where Canada is playing and Manitoba Bison-slash-Finnish Olympian Venla Hovi is playing. The Bisons are back, the Jets and Moose continue to push forward, the Spengler Cup is done, there's a wee tournament some 35 days away called the 2018 Winter Olympics that will be played and rosters are being finalized for that. It's another crazy night of hockey talk on The Hockey Show on UMFM!

Let me be the first to say that Beans is not Eminem or Marshall Mathers. He is back, though, back again, and you probably should tell a friend because The Hockey Show is happy to have him back! Tonight, the two fine gents will discuss the World Junior Championship once more as the US and Sweden battle this afternoon and Canada draws the Czech Republic in the late game. We'll look at the empty arena situation once more as the medal round has been featured just as many vacant seats as the preliminary round did. We'll talk about the Canadian and US women's Olympic rosters. We'll discuss the Nations Cup where Venla Hovi is having a fine time and the young Canadian team sent over is battling hard. We'll wrap up the Spengler Cup as Canada three-peated in Switzerland. We'll set you up for this weekend's battles involving the Bisons, Pandas, and Golden Bears. We'll talk about the Jets weathering the storm without Mark Scheifele, the Moose weathering the storm without Jack Roslovic, and we'll even touch on the Women's U18 World Championship and who we should be watching out for in Russia.
