Scott has done all sorts of things since retiring from the NHL, but he had yet to call a hockey game publicly. Until tonight.
Special thanks to @johnscott_32 for joining @BaileyBroadcast on the @TWUSpartans broadcast today and chipping in with some play by play - you're a natural! #BCIHL #Langley #TWU #UVIC pic.twitter.com/EblUIBhlzZ

Here's some more footage of Scott doing some solid work and take a dig at the refs in this game.
An MVP both on the ice and in the broadcast booth.@JohnScott_32 made his legendary broadcasting debut tonight for the @TWUSpartans in the @BCIHL.

What a surreal experience, and a moment I’ll never forget. pic.twitter.com/LWKvmxG92k
It's pretty clear that John Scott is a good guy who likes to have fun, and I'm excited to see him in Winnipeg on December 6 at the first-annual Hockey Helps The Homeless tournament where John will be playing while helping the tournament raise funds to defeat homelessness in Winnipeg. Scott's work as a play-by-play broadcaster was pretty decent for the first time, and it seems that he has a knack for play-by-play. Might we see him as a future colour analyst or play-by-play man? It's quite possible after this performance!
It doesn't seem to matter whether it's getting his degree, playing hockey, writing books, or calling hockey games, John Scott excels at almost everything he sets his mind on doing. The best part of this story is that it seems like John Scott is game for almost anything that sounds fun. That's why I admire John Scott.
Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
