The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, returns to the airwaves tonight with another fun interview! I always like doing update shows when we haven't had someone on in a while because they've usually gone off and done some rather awesome things in that time, and tonight's guest is no exception. We have five years of time to catch up on with our interviewee, and let me be the first to tell you there's a ton of stuff that's happened!
That rather intimidating woman and goaltender to the left is none other than Carly Jackson who originally appeared on The Hockey Show five years ago as a 17 year-old! Since that time, she's suited up for the University of Maine Black Bears, been drafted into the NWHL, and has done a ton of stuff in between! We'll get caught up with Carly tonight on her NCAA career where she set all sorts of school records, being drafted and becoming a professional hockey player, joining a baseball team, reuniting with all sorts of former teammates, and more! There's a lot that Carly has done in the last five years, so this is an update show you're not going to want to miss as I chat with her about her amazing career tonight at 5:30pm CT on 101.5 FM and UMFM.com!
Where's the best place can you hear the show if you're outside Winnipeg or not near a radio, you ask? The new UMFM website's online streaming player is pretty awesome if you want to listen online. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari yet, but we highly recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store or perhaps another browser. If you do use the TuneIn app, you won't be disappointed. It's a solid app.
If you have questions, you can email all show queries and comments to hockeyshow@umfm.com! Tweet me anytime with questions you may have by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter! I'm here to listen to you, so make your voice heard!
Tonight, Teebz goes one-on-one with Carly Jackson as we get caught up on her life by learning about Black Bears, school records, baseball, putting the band back together, and much more exclusively on 101.5 UMFM and on the UMFM.com web stream!
PODCAST: May 7, 2020: Episode 398
