I'll admit that I do love a physical book over an e-book on most days, but the cost of books can begin to get pricey if one is building a collection. Being that I have a fairly large collection of bound hockey books, I do know there are books I haven't read that need to be added to that collection, but my earnings and savings have been invested in renovations on HBIC Headquarters. Because of this, I've picked up my e-reader once more in order to fill the void of needing some new reading material!
I spent the day looking through the Z-Library where there are hundreds upon hundreds of e-books available for download and/or reading. I assure you that this website has provided me no benefits nor payment for this article, so I need to state that this website is being mentioned entirely because I found value in it. Having spent a few hours downloading e-books, I guarantee there's something here to tickle one's fancy when it comes to reading.
Among the great titles they have listed are:
- Game Change: The Life and Death of Steve Montador, and the Future of Hockey by Ken Dryden
- Scotty: A Hockey Life Like No Other by Ken Dryden
- Beauties: Hockey's Greatest Untold Stories by James Duthie
- Burke's Law: A Life in Hockey by Brian Burke
- Everyday Hockey Heroes: Inspiring Stories On and Off the Ice by Bob McKenzie
- The Final Call: Hockey Stories from a Legend in Stripes by Kerry Fraser
- Future Greats and Heartbreaks: A Year Undercover in the Secret World of NHL Scouts by Gare Joyce
- Gretzky's Tears: Hockey, Canada, and the Day Everything Changed by Stephen Brunt
- Breakaway: From Behind the Iron Curtain to the NHL, the Untold Story of Hockey's Great Escapes by Tal Pinchevsky
- Stat Shot: The Ultimate Guide to Hockey Analytics by Rob Vollman
Most of the books I linked above are ones of which I have the physical copies, so I feel fairly confident in recommending those titles to you based on what I already know about the books. I do recommend exploring the Z-Library site for hockey titles or any other books that may be of interest to you.
Whether you're looking for the classics from authors such as William Shakespeare, Bernard Shaw, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, or Jane Austen or you've come looking for more contemporary titles from authors such as Michael Crichton, Stephen King, Tom Clancy, or Margaret Atwood, there's something for everyone in the Z-Library where copies of books are always on the shelf!
Happy reading, folks!
Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
