The Hockey Show - Episode 520

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, hits the ground running tonight as Teebz and Jason have a lot to cover. Before they dive into the hockey side of stuff, though, school is back in session and the campus is buzzing, so welcome back to all students, staff, adminstrators and faculty who are back for more learning and education in 2022-23 across this province and nation! Nose in books, do the homework, and get good marks, kids. You're going to run the world one day, so let's get you some hockey chatter to add to that education!

There won't be any advanced math or long proofs on tonight's episode of The Hockey Show, but Teebz and Jason will once again tackle the insane amount of denial and stupidity coming out of the Hockey Canada offices that seems to be a weekly thing now. Tonight, our hosts discuss Andrea Skinner's comments on TSN and TSN's refusal to push back on her entirely-false statements, an investigator was named to dig into the 2003 sexual assault claim by an independent group, the wrap-up for the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship, a Manitoban is going national, the loss of a former Winnipeg Jets star who had incredible Twitter game, the Arizona Coyotes and some rather incredible claims, a new name for Simon Fraser University's teams, and a rather interesting tactic used by Sergei Fedorov in the KHL! We finish the final show of Season Ten of The Hockey Show tonight at 5:30pm CT on 101.5 FM, Channel 718 on MTS TV, or via UMFM.com!

If you live outside Winnipeg and want to listen, we have options! The new UMFM website's online streaming player is pretty awesome if you want to listen online. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari yet, so if you want to stream the show I'd recommend Radio Garden to do that as it works nicely with Safari. If you're more of an app person, we recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store or Google Play Store. If you do use the TuneIn app, you won't be disappointed. It's a solid app.
