The Hockey Show - Episode 564

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, will be talking about a pile of hockey stories on the ol' squawk box tonight. There's been a number of things happening on a number of different fronts in the hockey world, and our hosts will run down the major news stories that caught their attention this week. There's some ECHL news, some U SPORTS news, some former NHL player news, some current NHL jersey number news, and a pile of other stuff that will be discussed. It all starts at 5:30pm CT on The Hockey Show!

On tonight's edition of the program, Teebz and Jason will take a look at the ECHL's announcement of expansion into the southern Lake Tahoe region and how it may allow the ECHL to expand into other markets on the west side of the continent. Beyond that, there have been a pile of former U SPORTS players who have inked deals in the ECHL and the hosts will run down those deals before looking at the sites for the US-based 2026 World Junior Championship that are starting to come into focus, whether expansion is on the horizon for Canada West, the emerging story of a former NHL player seeking citizenship elsewhere, the NHL missing the technology boat by a couple of years, and there are a couple of good jersey stories that need to be told before they wrap up the show.
