The Hockey Show - Episode 578

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, hits the UMFM airwaves at 5:30pm CT tonight with a fun chat with a guy whose passion for hockey rivals our own. It's always good to have a chat with someone who enjoys the game and wants to see it get better, but our guest tonight did something even better: he wrote a book about it! Jason is off as he's got a few things that need his attention, so Teebz sits down with an author who works humour and a little craziness into his book all about his hockey adventures and experiences around the globe!

The Hockey Show is proud, honoured, privileged, humbled, and pleased to welcome Mr. Dave Hill to the program! You may know Dave better from other professions that he dabbles in as he's a comedian, radio host, musician, actor, retired amateur hockey star, and an author, but Teebz sits down with him to discuss his new book The Awesome Game, published by Penguin Random House, which is currently available at bookstores everywhere. Teebz and Dave discuss his worldly travels to see hockey that took him to places like Katowice, Poland; Tampere, Finland; Nairobi, Kenya; and Gatineau, Quebec and Peterborough, Ontario where, in each of his stops, Dave tries to get answers as to why hockey isn't more popular in the US. Teebz and Dave discuss everything from jerseys and logos to wearing Cooperalls, his experiences in those foreign countries, ads on jersey, and more in tonight's interview, so make sure you tune into The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT on one of 101.5 FM, Channel 718 on MTS TV, or via UMFM.com to get some good insight about Dave Hill's new book, The Awesome Game!
