The Hockey Show - Episode 616

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, is still working away from the studio with the abatement happening in and around the radio station. It hasn't deterred our hosts as they continue to keep their finger on the hockey world's pulse to find all the news stories that people should be following, and they'll bring you another round of news notes tonight! With the temperature rising in the city, hockey might be the last thing on everyone's mind right now, but the news doesn't stop. Make sure you're ready to for some hockey chatter tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT!

The image to the left will become very apparent as to why it's on this show preview once you hear the first few minutes of the show, but Teebz and Jason will dive into the hockey news and chat about Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff throwing shade at Rutger McGroarty and why McGroarty's camp might be giving him bad advice based on some other breaking news. They'll also discuss the Dallas Stars leaving TV, CapFriendly going dark, Patrik Laine's status, head coach Derek Laxdal landing in Palm Springs, the UNB Reds women's team getting a new associate coach, Hockey Canada and BFL honouring women in coaching roles, an update on the ECHL's newest expansion franchise, and some news and notes about former guests who have been on the show.
