The Hockey Show - Episode 617

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, is one week closer to potentially returning to the studio as renovations continue, but the hockey chatter doesn't stop! There were a few stories from the hockey world that hit our radars this past week, but one that really caught the attention of the hosts due to the incredible work done by one journalist who deserves some recognition for pulling the curtain back on a con job. Settle in for that story that seems to get crazier with every new layer added to it, and stick around for more discussion about the major hockey news from the past week tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT!

Teebz and Jason spent a chunk of time on Wednesday texting back and forth about Brad Elliott Schlossman and the incredible story he filed about Major League Hockey in the Grand Forks Herald which will be the only time we ever talk about this "league" on the show. I highly recommend reading Schlossman's excellent journalism on this by clicking that link as Teebz and Jason spend the first half of the show discussing the reporting done by Schlossman. After they dismiss that league, they move on to Zawyer Sports and Entertainment buying the Charlotte Checkers, their disappointment in the Tahoe Lake Monsters, a U SPORTS coach and a Manitoban attending an NHL development camp, they touch on a little justice being handed out to players that deserve it, and there's a show preview for next week as our two hosts will explore something from the past!
