Hope Lies Ahead

As you may know from reading this blog, I am sort of hoping that the Leafs don't match their point total from last season. I had boldly predicted earlier this season after their dreadful start that they wouldn't match the 81 points that they recorded last season. I was so confident that the Leafs had no chance that I'm even offering up a Leafs jersey if they somehow manage to beat their point total from a season ago. However, if there is one thing I should keep in mind, it is the fact that the Leafs signed some very impressive players last season with only a mention of how good they were.

Last night, Tyler Bozak showed us that he may indeed have a long and prosperous future in the NHL with a magnificent effort on his first NHL goal.

Goals that like require serious talent, and Bozek showed that he at least deserves a chance to stay in a Leafs uniform compared to some of the other players that Burke and Wilson have in the line-up on a daily basis.

Has there been a better first career goal this season? This might be one of the better first career goals of all-time. Congratulations to Tyler Bozek for his first career goal, and a memory that will last a lifetime!

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
