The Hockey Show - Episode 550

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, is back tonight with one of the shows that we wish we could do more often than once per year. Of course, that's not possible unless there are multiple national championship tournaments within a year, but that would make no sense when it comes to a team holding the title of "National Champions" for one full year. As a result, we get to do this show just once between now and next March despite how much fun we have, so let's get to what's happening tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT!

You may notice an addition I made to the Mount Royal Cougars' logo to the left, and that golden outline is important because Teebz and Jason are talking to the 2023 U SPORTS National Women's Hockey Champions tonight! We are excited to welcome Tatum Amy, Alex Spence, Courtney Kollman, Aliya Johma, Emma Bergesen, and Sydney Benko to the program this evening as we sit down with the champs to chat about their Montreal experience, some key moments in the tournament, the Canada West playoffs, having a gold medalist behind the bench, how life has changed, and more! We are extremely grateful that these incredible women are going to pull back the curtain on their win, so we're going to celebrate their championship tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT on one of 101.5 FM, Channel 718 on MTS TV, or via UMFM.com!

If you live outside Winnipeg and want to listen, we have options! The new UMFM website's online streaming player is pretty awesome if you want to listen online. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari, so if you want to stream the show I'd recommend Radio Garden to do that as it works nicely with Safari. If you're more of an app person, we recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store or Google Play Store. If you do use the TuneIn app, you won't be disappointed. It's a solid app.
