The Hockey Show - Episode Seventy-Four

The Hockey Show return tonight on 101.5 UMFM at 5:30pm CT with a new name! Well, not really a new name, but for the next three weeks we're officially becoming...
That's right! We're officially rebranding as The Olympic Hockey Show as we focus on the Winter Olympics and the hockey action going on over in Sochi, Russia. We're not ignoring the other hockey happening in North America, but The Hockey Show is officially shifting into Olympic mode starting tonight!

That, of course, means we'll have some Olympic news to start the show with as we look at:
  • Steven Stamkos announces he's out for Sochi. Who replaces him as GM Steve Yzerman faces a tough choice?
  • Was Team Canada wrong to rule out Marc-Andre Fleury?
  • Gustav Nyquist will replace Johan Franzen on Team Sweden. Is that an improvement considering what Nyquist brings to the table?
  • Mikko Koivu may not be able to suit up for Finland. What implications does this have on the Finnish team? Does this affect our predictions?
  • Paul Maurice has the Jets on a 9-2 run as the team gets ready for the Washington Capitals tonight. Are they a playoff team?
  • Dave King finds another home in the KHL as he lands in Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Can Dave right the ship there as the KHL playoffs near?
  • We'll review the week-that-was for the Bisons.
  • The Russian Round-Up will return before the Olympics start.
  • We'll check our Olympic predictions.
It's a big show, and, as always, you're encouraged to call and tweet! You can reach us at (204) 269-8636 (269-UMFM) with your thoughts, and you can fire me tweets throughout the show at @TeebzHBIC. We're live on the air at 5:30pm CT on 101.5 UMFM, so listen in!
