If the old saying is true, breakfast is reportedly the most important meal of the day. Admittedly, there aren't may breakfast foods you're required to lick, so whatever Brad Marchand was thinking when he licked Tampa Bay's Ryan Callahan a few years ago during the Bruins' Stanley Cup Playoff series with the Lightning likely had nothing to do with breakfast. Marchand, though, has been working on his breakfast foods this season thanks to a collaboration with PLB Sports and Entertainment, and it appears that Brad Marchand's face might be seen on your breakfast table in the near future thanks to this partnership!

All jokes aside, let's introduce you to your newest favorite breakfast cereal featuring one of the most disliked players in the NHL, March Munch! Ok, that was the last joke for real. March Munch are sweetened cinnamon toast squares similar to General Mills' Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but with one major twist: a portion of every box sold is going to charity as Brad Marchand has chosen to help Christopher's Haven, a Boston-based charitable organization "whose mission is to operate a supportive and affordable living community consisting of apartments and a community recreation area for families of children undergoing cancer treatment". I'll shill for anyone who is helping a charity because those charities can always use help no matter what the circumstance is. However, when I went to order March Munch, the $29.99 price tag on a two-box set seemed a little steep to me. My next thought, though, was that it was two boxes of cereal, so shipping might not be very expensive and I could certainly eat the cost - excuse the pun - of this cereal purchase. The shipping, however, pushed this purchase to nearly $45 USD - that's $56 CDN for two boxes of cereal! I hate to say this, but that may be a little rich for my tastes.
I don't know what the boxes of March Munch are selling for in stores, but I hope it's priced competitively enough in stores that Marchand helps Christopher's Haven make a ton of money. If you're a fan of the General Mills version of the sweetened cinnamon toast squares, change it up and add March Munch to your breakfast routine instead as the money spent on Brad Marchand's cereal will certainly help others while starting your day off right.
March Munch won't get you into the NHL nor will it help you score a ton of goals in any league, but it's part of a balanced breakfast just as Marchand is part of a balanced attack in Boston. If you want to play in the NHL, you have to work hard to make that dream come true. There will be the occasional setback and some days will be harder than others, but every day of that journey starts with a good breakfast that could include March Munch!
