Quite The Experience

I have to admit that this blog has received a lot of stuff that I probably would never see if I wasn't writing it. Getting a chance to chat hockey on The Hockey Show has also helped as I now can use that media outlet to help promote companies and products as well. If you had been listening to the show this past week, you heard that Beans and I were going to be guests of Boston Pizza to take in the Wild-Jets game. I have to say that we had a blast, and the good people at Boston Pizza who helped us all night long deserve some credit!

First off, I want to thank Brittany, my contact at Boston Pizza. She's the Community Coordinator – Digital & Social Media in the Marketing Department in Toronto, but she had the people at our local Boston Pizza ready for a night of fun! I want to say thank you to Brittany for setting this up, and Beans and I will certainly be back for more fun at Boston Pizza!

Secondly, Nicole, our server, was fantastic all night, and she stopped by often to ensure we were well-fed and watered to our satisfaction. While there was apparently some confusion over a table that had been reserved for us that caused some nervousness for Nicole, she handled it with ease and the night ran smoothly. She was personable, attentive, and polite - she was one of the main reasons we had such an enjoyable time!

So what went on while we were there? Well, we saw the Jets drop a 2-1 result to the Minnesota Wild, but the crowd at the Boston Pizza lounge was fantastic. Everyone was into the game, cheering loudly after the Bryan Little powerplay goal and booing the Matt Cooke goal in the second period, and everyone stuck around to the very end thanks to the prize giveaways conducted by the staff in the Boston Pizza lounge. Those who won prizes were clearly happy!

As for those good nibbles that Nicole kept bringing us, we enjoyed some Cactus Cut Potatoes and the Thai Chicken Bites to start, and then followed it up with two solid pizza choices in The Meateor and the Spicy Perogy Pizza! At the end of the evening, only a couple of pieces of pizza remained as both Beans and I were stuffed from the excellent food. Needless to say, the four choices we made come highly recommended!

If you have a Boston Pizza in your neighbourhood, it is a great place to catch a hockey game or any other sporting event that may interest you. The food is delicious and fantastic, the beverages are cold and plentiful, and the people are incredible. So come on down to Boston Pizza, have a laugh, some good eats, a beverage, and watch your team play on the big screens.

After all, you're among good friends at Boston Pizza!

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
