The Hockey Show - Episode 189

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is back tonight to wrap up the opening round eliminations in Survivor: NHL Playoffs! In a rather poor showing, there have been only two entrants who have volunteered to do their exit interviews, so tonight's show could be Beans and I ripping on a bunch of teams and entrants who didn't show up! All kidding aside, we'll talk about the series that have ended as we prepare for Round Two!

Of course, there has been other massive news stories to float across the old desk as the NHL Draft Lottery took place! Toronto, of course, received the first-overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft, but Winnipeg has secured the second pick! We'll discuss the Matthews-Laine-Puljujärvi options with a specific interest for Winnipeg. We'll also look at the second round of the NHL Playoffs, the WHL Playoffs as the Wheat Kings prepare to battle the Seattle Thunderbirds, we have some promo work to do, and we'll make a special mention for the great people of Fort McMurray, Alberta who are suffering through a devastating wildfire. Hang in there, FortMac. The Hockey Show is pulling for you.

Wanna be part of the fun? Give us a call at (204) 269-UMFM (8636)! Of course, your radio dial should always be tuned in the Winnipeg region to 101.5 on the FM frequencies.
