Great Prank

With today being April Fool's Day, there is a whole host of pranks and funny business that I could have used on this site to show that hockey players have a great sense of humor. However, I always like to see players who can have a good laugh at themselves as much as they can at others when they pull off a great prank. Case in point? Mr. Jagr.

On June 15, 2013, the CBC featured all the players from the Boston Bruins speaking about where they are from and who their favorite players were or are. Being that this was during the Stanley Cup Final, it was interesting to hear a lot players mention the names of Steve Yzerman, Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin, and Nicklas Lidstrom. However, the two Czech-born players on the Bruins - David Krejci and Jaromir Jagr - shared a Czech-born favorite player in their introductions.
Oh, that Jagr... and not even on April Fool's Day!

Hockey players, for the most part, have pretty great senses of humor and hardly any take themselves too seriously off the ice. For Jaromir Jagr, he's always had the reputation about being "all about Jagr". Thanks to this CBC piece, at least he can poke fun at that stereotype.

Until next time, keep your pranks on the ice!
