The Hockey Show - Episode 180

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is back with another excellent interview tonight as we're bringing all sorts of great people to the show. When you think of the guests we've had on recently - Brampton Thunder's Candice Styles, Letterkenny's and 19-2's Jared Keeso, and Goon costume designer Heather Neale - The Hockey Show is raising the bar when it comes to sports shows in the Winnipeg region. Sure, you could tune into that other sports radio station for their oft-repeated shows and their same circuit of guests, but you're better than that and you want more from your sports talk radio. Welcome to The Hockey Show on 101.5 UMFM where we reach into hockey and find all the great story-tellers and personalities.

We are proud, honoured, privileged, and humbled to be able to welcome Miss Fielding Montgomery to The Hockey Show this evening! Fielding was a teammate of Friend of the Show Isabelle Germain at Dalhousie University, so we'll have a chat about her time as a Tiger, her work as a Panther, her short time being a Dolphin, getting her hands dirty with fish and mussels, and her efforts in solving a forest insect problem! Of course, we'll chat about hockey in the hour we have her on, and we'll ask a few Twitter questions submitted by fans, friends, and teammates that will put Miss Montgomery on the spot a little!

Tonight's episode is going to be fun with Fielding, and next week's epsiode should be awesome as well as we welcome the second-half of Letterkenny in Nathan Dales to the show! Nathan is a huge Calgary Flames fan and clearly knows comedy with his portrayal of Daryl on the show, so we'll get to know Nathan next week! Following that, we have an interview done with Alexis Moed, Hockey Director at Northwell Health Ice Center on Long Island, New York. Alexis has been instrumental in getting a women's hockey program off the ground for girls in the Long Island area, and she's doing some fantastic work in growing the game on Long Island. We'll talk to her about her hockey background, her work in growing the game, and where she's at in terms of her program taking flight!

See? This is why you tune into The Hockey Show - fascinating people, great stories, and inspiring tales of hockey. And occasionally Beans and I ripping on the Maple Leafs and arguing with one another.

With Fielding appearing via phone for her interview, the phones will be closed for calls! However, make sure you tune your radio dial in the Winnipeg region to 101.5 on your FM dial or listen live between 5:30pm and 6:30pm CT on your web-enabled device at the UMFM webpage! Tweet me anytime with questions you may have by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter. You can also post some stuff to Facebook if you use the "Like" feature, and I always have crazy stuff posted there that doesn't make it to the blog or show. We welcome a fantastic hockey player and CIS graduate in Fielding Montgomery to The Hockey Show only on 101.5 UMFM!
