The Hockey Show - Episode 611
The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, returns to Survivor: NHL Playoffs island tonight to send two more entrants off the island as we're down to the finalists! It's hard to believe that 14 teams and entrants have been eliminated, but the Stanley Cup Final between Edmonton and Florida begins tomorrow in the Alberta capital. Don't come at me with "Canada's Team" when talking about the Oilers - that's not a thing - but they are looking to become Canada's first Stanley Cup winner since 1993. The Panthers have been to the big dance twice, being swept by Colorado in 1996 and falling to Vegas in five games last season. One of these streaks will come to an end shortly, and we'll discuss this and more on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT!
Tonight, Teebz and Jason send Elliot (Dallas) and Mike (NY Rangers) off Survivor: NHL Playoffs island as both were eliminated in the last week to set up the Stanley Cup Final. They'll discuss the two teams in the final, but they also will have chats about Utah's seating problems, a new broadcast option for people facing digital accessibility issues, the Calder Cup's potential finalists, the Kelly Cup's first three games, the PWHL draft, and more! We'll also give a shout out to GM Jared (Edmonton) and Wayne (Florida) who are the finalists in the 2024 edition of Survivor: NHL Playoffs as they look to capture the grand prize! It all goes down tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT on one of 101.5 FM, Channel 718 on MTS TV, or via UMFM.com!
If you live outside Winnipeg and want to listen, we have options! The new UMFM website's online streaming player works well if you want to listen online. We also recommend Radio Garden if you need an easy-to-use online stream. If you're more of an app person, we recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store or Google Play Store. It's a solid app.
If you have questions, you can email all show queries and comments to hockeyshow@umfm.com! Tweet me anytime with questions you may have by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter! I'm here to listen to you, so make your voice heard!
Tonight, Teebz and Jason say goodbye to Elliot and Mike before jumping into seating problems, the final series for the NHL, AHL, and ECHL, the PWHL draft, and much more exclusively on 101.5 UMFM and on the UMFM.com web stream!
