The Hockey Show - Episode Thirty-Nine

If you haven't yet heard, you probably missed last week's episode of The Hockey Show. And that's ok because we know that you're busy sometimes. But if you didn't tune in last week, you may have forgotten that The Hockey Show moved to its new one-hour format, starting at 5:30pm ET now as we chat hockey for a full sixty minutes!

Tonight, we're going to rattle off a few Survivor: NHL Playoffs exit interviews as we discuss what went wrong for the Rangers, Senators, Sharks, and Red Wings. We're still working on making contact with a couple of the representatives for these teams, but we have one interview ready to roll. If we can't get the other people in for an interview, Beans, myself, and MJHL official Jeremie Gauvin will take a shot at closing the book on those teams' respective seasons.

We'll talk a little about the new uniforms debuted by the Carolina Hurricanes and the Dallas Stars. I'm sure all three of us will have thoughts on what we like and don't like about these new threads. If you haven't seen them, HBIC covered them earlier this week. Just scroll down.

We'll also look at one of the most controversial aspects of this year's playoffs as we discuss officiating. I spent the better part of Wednesday night looking at the referee combinations and what has been called throughout the playoffs per tandem and overall in each round for each conference. This should generate some discussion as we look at which officials are more prone to calling which infractions, and where some of them may have fallen short in their responsibilities. I'm quite certain Jeremie will have thoughts on this, and we'll work the Duncan Keith suspension into the discussion as well with regards to Jeff Carter's actions on the play.

As always, we want your calls on any of these topics, and we'll be taking calls for the full hour as we want your thoughts on the hockey world. Please call us at (204) 269-UMFM (8636) with your comments, and we'll get you on. If you'd like, you can always tweet me at @TeebzHBIC with comments and questions and I'll do my best to get them on the air.

Hopefully you'll tune in on 101.5 UMFM at 5:30pm CT! We'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
