The Hockey Show - Episode 228

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is back in the home-sweet-home studios of UMFM tonight as Beans, TJ, and myself sit down to discuss all of the latest news from the world of hockey! There has been some pretty significant news out of the hockey world in the last few days, but we'll also be discussing a major announcement that involves The Hockey Show! Tonight's episode will be jam-packed with wholesome hockey goodness, so give us a listen on any of the available media you have at your disposal!

It was made official last Friday, but your favorite hockey radio program will be a part of the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada festivities on Thursday, February 16! We'll discuss a little of what we're doing that night on the show this evening so you can plan your trip to the scenic city of Kenora, Ontario! Along with that discussion, we'll look at the quagmire happening between Barclays Center and the New York Islanders, Ken Hitchcock's dismissal in St. Louis and why he may have deserved better, the new uniforms for the Laval Rocket, talks ramping up on Matt Duchene being traded from the Avalanche, Jarome Iginla asking - more or less - to be dealt out of Denver. We'll also preview the weekend series for the fifth-ranked Manitoba Bisons women's hockey team as the Saskatchewan Huskies are in town and what that means for the women as TJ and Teebz get set to call that series. All of this and much more tonight as The Hockey Show tackles everything on the hockey radar!
