The Hockey Show - Episode 543

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, is back tonight on the UMFM airwaves with all the news, information, and discussion to bring everyone up to date on what's happening in hockey across the planet! There's also going to be a fun exercise, proposed by Jason, where Teebz and Jason give their opinions on a specific topic, and this one should be fun as it will reveal some biases towards specific teams. Tonight's episode will be informative, educational, and entertaining, so make sure you join us at 530pm CT!

Tonight, Teebz and Jason dig into the surprising collapse of Bally Sports' regional coverage of sports that affects 42 MLB, NBA, and NHL teams and how it will affect coverage of hockey in the US, they discuss the Winnipeg Ice still needing a permanent home, the Moose Jaw Warriors suspending four players while in a playoff race, Turkey making a hockey decision, the IIHF releasing the 2024 World Junior Hockey Championship schedule, the return of defender Ian White to professional hockey, the Carolina Hurricanes and NHL supporting hockey in South Carolina, and we'll have some fun as Teebz and Jason throw themselves into the NHL trade deadline madness by discuss their ten-team no-trade clauses! The last part should be a good laugh as Teebz and Jason explain for which teams they wouldn't want to play, but you can catch all the chatter tonight on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT on one of 101.5 FM, Channel 718 on MTS TV, or via UMFM.com!

If you live outside Winnipeg and want to listen, we have options! The new UMFM website's online streaming player is pretty awesome if you want to listen online. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari yet, so if you want to stream the show I'd recommend Radio Garden to do that as it works nicely with Safari.
