The Hockey Show - Episode 193
The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, returns tonight with our regular hosts! Teebz, Beans, and TJ are back in the studio together, and we'll get an update on TJ's voyage out west to the great city of Calgary where he was taking part in a conference. Are people watching the Stanley Cup Final out there? Does anyone even care in Alberta since their teams finished out of the playoffs? We'll talk about that off the top of the show as we get caught up on everything happening!
We'll also talk about first two games of the Stanley Cup Final, the AHL Calder Cup Final that pits the Lake Erie Monsters against the Hershey Bears, the losses of Tom Lysiak and Rick MacLeish, the possibility of NHL players skipping the Olympics, the upcoming World Cup of Hockey, the possibility of expansion for next season, and I'll recap a little of the Play On! tournament as well as speak about the FXR Cup and who won there!. It's been a busy week in the hockey world, and we're going to give our take on these stories and more as we try to keep you informed on everything happening in the hockey world.
The Hockey Show on 101.5 UMFM also wants to give a big shout-out to new University of Manitoba Athletic Director Gene Muller! Muller, a native of South Africa, was the director of the University's Active Living Centre since October 2014, but he's an accomplished field hockey coach with numerous awards and accolades to his name! Muller starts in his new role on September 1, but The Hockey Show is proud to welcome him into his new role! Congratulations, Mr. Muller!
