The Hockey Show - Episode 195

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is back tonight to question the sanity of the NHL and its ownership group. As you may have heard, the NHL is considering the recommendation of expanding into Las Vegas, Nevada, and we'll certainly take a long, hard look at the reasons to and not to expand into Sin City. There are 500 million reasons to expand, apparently, but there might be more compelling reasons to not expand into Las Vegas. We'll take a look at all of these options as The Hockey Show jumps into the role of NHL Executive Committee!

The boys will also talk about the recent Kevin Cheveldayoff press conference regarding the Jets' second-overall pick and what may happen at the draft regarding trades, they finish off the Survivor: NHL Playoffs contest by saying good-bye to Tampa Bay, San Jose, and congratulating Pittsburgh along with announcing the winner of the contest, the annual Chicago salary purge took place yesterday and what that means for the Blackhawks and Hurricanes, Cam Ward re-signing with the Hurricanes, Randy Carlyle returning to the Anaheim Ducks, Phil Kessel possibly taking the Stanley Cup back to Toronto, and much more as we dive into the stories of the week!

And we want to hear from you! Buzz us at (204) 269-8636 (269-UMFM) if you wanna get in on the discussion! Make sure you tune your radio dial in the Winnipeg region to 101.5 on your FM dial or listen live between 5:30pm and 6:30pm CT on your web-enabled device at the UMFM webpage!
