The Hockey Show - Episode 328

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, makes its first appearance in 2019 tonight, and I'm almost certain we have something to talk about regarding hockey and a game or two that happened yesterday. There will be a notable absence tonight as Beans' immune system is currently in a major war with cold bacteria and/or a flu virus, so he's officially not making his 2019 debut tonight. Personally, I'm ok with that as I don't want to be sick, but we can officially erase Beans off the roster tonight. Instead, we'll feature a mystery co-host tonight. Who? I'm not entirely sure yet, but there are a handful of people who I believe would be a solid guest host and I'm on that trail to track one down as you read this.

Oh, we'll talk about this game. Among the topics open for discussion - phone lines are open! - is the Canada-Finland game, the Canada-Finland game at the Spengler Cup, the Edmonton Oilers and their bumbling GM, the Jets and their upcoming schedule (plus having two games in-hand on the Predators), the Bisons squaring off against their arch-nemeses in the Alberta Pandas, the Jets and Flames set to do battle in Regina outdoors next season, and more if it can be squeezed in! It all starts tonight at 5:30pm CT, so make sure you tune in!

You might be wondering where the blurb about the UMFM app has gone. I'm going on record to say you can still use it, but the new UMFM website will fill the needs of our listeners because the new online streaming player is pretty awesome. If you're using an Apple device, the player doesn't seem to like Safari, but we highly recommend you use the TuneIn app found on the App Store. The UMFM app will currently work for you, but there's some work being done to realign it with UMFM's new website, so it may go silent soon. If it does, TuneIn. It's a solid app.
