The Hockey Show - Episode 573

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced radio show that strictly talks hockey, kicks off Season 12 of its run on 101.5 UMFM with something we never like talking about, but it needs to be discussed: hazing and abuse of power. If you haven't heard, there were a couple of incidents that have been reported this week in a U SPORTS school and an ACHA school, so our hosts will break all those allegations down. There's also a pile of news about the PWHL draft that came out and we have our first coaching hire! We'll see if we can finish off with some good news to kick off Episode One of Season 12 on The Hockey Show at 5:30pm CT!

Teebz and Jason get settled in for Season 12 by discussing the big news stories once again! They'll look at the breaking news that came out of Western University in Ontario regarding allegations of misconduct towards head coach Candice Moxley and Western's strength and conditioning coach Jeff Watson filed by members of the women's hockey team. As you know, this is a serious allegation, so Teebz and Jason will handle this carefully, but there was also a report they'll discuss about the ACHA's University of Northern Colorado men's hockey team being suspended for two seasons by the university after they found evidence of underage drinking and hazing. The other big story is the PWHL Draft that will take place on Monday, and our hosts have all the details on what's happening, some of the U SPORTS players in the mix, players who didn't commit to the draft and why, and more.
