The Hockey Show - Episode 125

The Hockey Show, Canada's only campus-produced hockey radio show, is back on the air tonight with a pile of topics to discuss. That means we'll be taking calls, so make sure you have your dialing fingers ready because we're going to read down some of the stories out of the hockey world this week. And you know we'll spend some time talking about which suit is appropriate for a benching.

We might as well get right into this as Beans, Columbus, and I will discuss Evander Kane's choice of track suit over suit-and-tie to attend a team meeting. We'll discuss dress codes as we know them in sports, and look at the effects that this benching may have on Kane, the Jets, and whether or not he'll be a Jet past the trade deadline. While I won't go all Don Cherry on Kane over his choice of clothing, we will talk about professionalism and how one can look the part with the right clothes.

Also on the docket today will be a discussion on Tim Peel's suspension of one game after drinking and chatting with a hockey blogger, Mike Richards' debut in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs, PK Subban being shamed by the NHL for embellishment and how that affects him going forward, and the changes to the AHL and the ECHL with the announcement of the AHL's Pacific Division. It's going to be a lively show, so make sure you tune in!

Give us a call tonight at (204) 269-8636 (UMFM) so we can get your hockey thoughts on the air! As always, you can hear the show on 101.5 UMFM on your radio dial in the Winnipeg region or you can listen live between 5:30pm and 6:30pm CT on your web-enabled device at the UMFM webpage! You can tweet me anytime you like by hitting me up at @TeebzHBIC on Twitter. You can also post some stuff to Facebook if you use the "Like" feature, and I always have crazy stuff posted there that doesn't make it to the blog or show. There are lots of ways for you to interact with The Hockey Show, but we want to hear from you tonight! Give us a call!
