The Leaderboard

Well, the first round is over. If you're entered in the HBIC Playoff Pool, you're probably wondering how you're doing in comparison to everyone else. There were some impressive scores in the opening round, and there are definitely a few people who need to clean a little tarnish off their crystal balls. The key, though, is that no one is out of the running, especially with the "Risk It!" option available. I've babbled long enough, though, so let's check out the leaderboard!

Please note that this is organized alphabetically by first name! I have also made it easier to see if you're in the top-five by color-coding your name. Take note of those scores, folks, because they're in contention for prizing right now. The team and number in parentheses? That's the tie-breaker team and total penalty minutes.

ROUND ONE: After scanning the board, Evan K. might be saying, "Hey, I have the same point total as Matt!" Yes, Evan does, but the tie-breaker is a cruel mistress as Chicago currently has more penalty minutes than Anaheim does in these playoffs. You're right on the edge of the prizes, Evan, but Matt's choice of Chicago has him in.

I will fully admit that I was adding stuff up quickly the other day and I may have made a mistake. If you think I did, please email me and let me know. I'll review the information and see if I made a boo-boo. Yes, it does happen. Being human, I am fallible!

Bookmark this page because I will update this leaderboard after every round. The suspense of moving up or down the leaderboard is always more fun than checking daily anyway. For those of you in the top-five, give yourself a Tiger Woods fist-pump for the first round. Well done!

The highlights of Round One will be posted tomorrow. Some of you will get your name in lights for your excellent work in the opening round. Check back tomorrow to see if you get an award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence!

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
